Dr. Wade Rowatt helped shape a high-quality approach to pastoral care at BSK that continues to enrich the care offered by chaplains, ministers and pastoral counselors. In his decades-long vocation as professor, counselor, retreat leader, local church minister, and author, Jodi Rowatt has been his ministry partner and an occasional co-teacher.
At BSK’s annual banquet, held at the end of April, the Seminary announced the Wade and Jodi Rowatt Fund for Pastoral Care. In announcing this fund, guests at the banquet also had the chance to hear from Dr. Rowatt through an interview hosted by President David Cassady.
The Wade and Jodi Rowatt Fund provides ongoing support for the pastoral care program at BSK. This includes funding for a professor of pastoral care and scholarships for pastoral care students. BSK is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence in pastoral care that is the hallmark of Dr. Wade Rowatt’s leadership.
