BSK’s Tending Program announces new project administrator

LEXINGTON, KY — Maurice B. Herring has been selected as BSK’s new Tending Project Administrator, effective March 16, 2026.

Maurice brings over 15 years of executive leadership experience in finance, operations, and compliance across higher education, government, and transportation sectors. His background in budget oversight, vendor coordination, and process improvement makes him exceptionally well-suited for this role. Maurice is also a current Master of Divinity candidate at BSK (anticipated to graduate in May 2026), reflecting his deep commitment to BSK’s mission and community.

David Adams, Director of Tending and Programmatic Initiatives, highlights Maurice’s unique giftedness for this role, “Maurice brings a deep passion for BSK, as well as a keen interest in leadership development to this position. As an established veteran project leader for several startups, he brings both experience and flexibility to a project that is in its infancy. We will value his steadying presence as this ministry seeks to fulfill its promise for our partners and those we seek to serve.”

The Tending initiative aims to create a sustainable, technology-driven ecosystem for lifelong learning, equipping multi-vocational and lay pastoral leaders with accessible, high-quality resources tailored to the needs of modern congregations.
