On May 10, 2019, the evening before our annual Commencement ceremony, we honored our graduates at our Graduates Banquet. At this special event, our graduates and their families gathered with BSK faculty and staff to celebrate over dinner. Following the meal, Dr. John Inscore Essick shared words about each of the graduates and the role they have played at BSK. The remainder of the program included a poem shared by Rev. Amber Inscore Essick and the gifting of the chalice and paten to the graduates, introduced by Dr. Mark Medley. The chalice and paten set that the graduates were gifted were handmade and included an imprint of a triquetra, a trinitarian symbol that is a part of BSK’s logo. Darrell Pittman, one of BSK’s graduates, was not able to be at the banquet because he was at a CD release party for his recently released album! Our graduates continue to use their degrees in creative ways and we are so proud of them! Congratulations, grads!
