Dr. John Inscore Essick, BSK’s Associate Professor of Church History, has been writing a series in his local paper, Henry County Local, on the area’s addiction crisis. Dr. Inscore Essick says, “I agreed to write the “Reckoning with Addiction” series for Henry Countians because I am convinced that as a community we must acknowledge both the challenges posed by substance abuse and our unique potential and giftedness for responding to this crisis.”
