Dr. Glenn Hinson Honored at Oates Institute Awards Banquet

Dr. Glenn Hinson is a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, where the Oates Institute gathering was held.

On October 18, 2018, the Oates Institute honored Dr. Glenn Hinson at their annual Awards Gathering. Dr. Hinson served as Senior Professor of Church History and Spirituality at Baptist Seminary of Kentucky for many years. BSK was honored to be a sponsor of this event and members of the BSK community were pleased to attend this event and to recognize the life and work of Dr. Hinson. Baptist Seminary of Kentucky annually holds The E. Glenn Hinson Lecture Series to honor the life and work of Dr. E. Glenn Hinson. The series, established in 2009 in honor of Dr. Hinson’s 50th year of teaching, explores formational, foundational, and/or future issues in the areas of his passion: spiritual formation/ spirituality, church history, ecumenism, and Baptist history. This year’s Hinson Lectures will be held on March 4, 2019 on the campus of Georgetown College in the Conference Center. This year’s lecturer is Dr. Allison Barr from Baylor University.
