Dr. Earwood and his wife, Nell, are much beloved by the BSK Community.
Dr. Greg Earwood, Baptist Seminary of Kentucky’s first and founding President, will be named President Emeritus at Opening Convocation on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 4:30 PM at Georgetown Baptist Church. Dr. Earwood retired from BSK in 2016. BSK’s Board of Trustees voted to grant this honor on Dr. Earwood at a recent meeting, recognizing the immense impact he has and will continue to have on the Seminary. Dr. David Cassady, BSK’s current President, said the following about Dr. Earwood’s impact on BSK,
“Dr. Earwood’s past contributions and leadership with the seminary as the founding president are clear. With this title the board of trustees are also recognizing Greg’s continuing role in supporting and growing BSK. We are so excited to have him as an important part of our community.”
All are invited to attend this special occasion at Opening Convocation. Convocation Chapel is an academic oriented chapel that formally marks the beginning of the new academic year. New students and faculty to the BSK community will also be recognized as a part of this service. Following Chapel, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for a meal together. The menu includes baked chicken with a garlic sauce, potatoes, assorted vegetables, and salad. The cost of the meal is $5.00.
