Dr. Amy Mears to Teach Preaching

Dr. Mears has been co-pastor at Glendale Baptist Church for 13 years.

The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky is excited to welcome Dr. Amy Mears as adjunct professor of Preaching for the Fall 2018 semester. Dr. Mears is co-pastor of Glendale Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. A native of South Carolina, Dr. Mears received her M.Div. and PhD degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Amy describes herself as, “Mom to an 18-year-old, a 19-year-old, and a 21-year-old. A daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, a mentor, a board member, a professor, a hiker, a swimmer, a horseback rider, and an extrovert.”

Dr. Dalen Jackson, BSK’s Academic Dean and Professor of Biblical Studies says, “We are extremely excited to welcome Amy to our faculty this Fall. Her experience as a professor and a preacher make her the perfect fit to teach our Preaching course.”
