BSK partner, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Together for Hope program, is hosting a virtual walk-run-ride-swim-go and the Rural Ministry Program at BSK is one of the organizations that you can chose to donate to with your registration! Details from TFH below:
Virtual Walk-Run-Ride-Swim-Go for poverty alleviation in 301 counties of persistent poverty.
13.1, 26.2, 50, 75, 100, 140.6 miles or more this Summer Set your own goals, choose your place and days Walk, Ride, Run, Swim (or row, paddle, trail hike, trail run) get there any way you can!
Log your miles — May 15 through August 15, 2021
Support the good work of Together for Hope and the Together for Hope friend of your choice. Walk, run, ride or swim (or paddle, row, hike, trail run, or other), in your own place, at your own pace, May 15-August 15. Set a goal and get moving this summer and earn a really cool t-shirt. Take as many days as you need as long as you finish by August 15, 2021. Log your miles each week on the Runsignup website, which will track your overall miles and miles by event (walk, run, ride, swim, etc.). Registration is now open.
Registration: The cost is $30 which includes a $10 donation to the TFH friend of your choice. You will have an opportunity to make the donation at registration. All proceeds from the remaining $20 (after the cost of the t-shirt and mailing) go directly to Together for Hope for poverty alleviation in the 301 counties of persistent poverty.
50-mile Challenge: A separate event for children, families, churches, and groups. Participate as a team or an individual for the 50 Mile Challenge and receive a cool personalized finisher’s medal. A customizable tracking form is provided for kids to log their miles. Cost for this event is $15 which includes a $5 donation to the TFH friend of your choice. All proceeds from the remaining $10 (our only overhead is the cost of the medal and mailing) go directly to Together for Hope for poverty alleviation in the 301 counties of persistent poverty in the United States. Participate as an organization, church, family, friends, by yourself, anyway you like.
