Dr. David S. Adams has been named Director of Institutional Design at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK), beginning February 2020.
The new position focuses primarily on instructional design, supporting faculty and students as BSK begins providing distance education in Fall 2020. He will also oversee grant writing and assist in managing information technology systems at the school while teaching courses in administration, leadership, and communications.
“In many ways, this new position is simply a recognition of the many roles Dr. Adams has played with BSK over the past 18 years,” explained David Cassady, president of BSK. “We are excited David will be bringing his insights, leadership and considerable skillset to the mission of BSK, especially as we enter this exciting new era.”
Dr. Adams has served on a number of church staffs, as well as on regional and national boards and committees for multiple Christian denominations. He also served on the exploratory committee that ultimately formed BSK.
Offering a strong background in publishing, Dr. Adams will also help direct the Flourish Center at BSK, providing resourcing supporting thriving congregations. In addition to editing Faithelement Bible study resources, he has worked with Group Publishing, Judson Press, Smyth & Helwys Publishing, and others while leading some of BSK’s previous efforts in developing leadership materials for Youth camps and congregational training.
David serves as the Interim Pastor of Mercy Church in Hebron, Kentucky. He and his wife Patty live in Northern Kentucky with their daughter Rebecca.
