In the Spring 2019 semester, Dr. Dartanya Hill and Dr. Wade Rowatt will co-teach a course entitled, Pastoral Care with Small Groups: Dynamics and Techniques. This course will focus on the pastoral care and counseling needs of a congregation from a small groups perspective.

Dr. Dartanya Hill
This semester is the first time Dr. Dartanya Hill will join the BSK faculty as an adjunct member. Dr. Hill has previously been a guest in many BSK classes. Dr. Hill is currently the Pastor of West End Baptist Church in Louisville, KY and a licensed psychologist. Dartanya spoke to his excitement for this upcoming course,
“I am honored to join the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky Faculty this upcoming semester as an adjunct member. The fact that my ministry and training have led me to BSK is both a humbling and rewarding opportunity to serve in academia. My excitement about this opportunity is heightened by being partnered with one of most outstanding professionals in contemporary Pastoral Care. To serve as a co-teacher with Dr. Wade Rowatt is a recognition and accomplishment for which I am truly excited. I thank God, Dr. Cassady and all involved in offering me this opportunity.”
Dr. Rowatt, Senior Professor of Pastoral Care at BSK says,
“Dr. Hill and I are excited about the opportunity to work with students in energizing their churches and agencies through small group pastoral care. Particularly, the vision from across cultures will enrich today’s institutions and will broaden students’ learning. These small groups will assist churches and institutions to flourish in their ministry.”
