On July 24-28, the Louisiana Home & Foreign Missions Baptist Convention, associated with the National Baptist Convention of America (NBCA), held its annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Both Dr. Lewis Brogdon and Dr. David Cassady attended the event and led in various activities.
Dr. Lewis Brogdon was present at the event, preaching and leading classes for the Leadership Certificate in Black Church Studies at the Congress gathering. He provided training for Pastors, Associate Ministers, Christian Education directors, Sunday school teachers, and other lay leaders desiring a concentrated course of study. Brogdon also brought the message for the Tuesday evening “Education Night.”
Dr. Cassady spoke in the Monday evening welcome session, sharing about opportunities for theological education with BSK. He also brought greetings to the congress on Tuesday morning and met with various pastors while there.

Cassady commented on the significance of the event, “BSK is committed to meeting the needs of leaders in churches associated with the Convention. Meeting these leaders and connecting with their congregations deepens our effectiveness as a seminary. I am grateful to Rev. Dixon and Dr. Tolbert for their partnership with BSK.”
