The BSK community grieves with Dr. Rick Landon in the passing of his wife, Judy Kathryn Landon. Dr. Landon taught Spiritual Formation and Contextual Ministry at BSK for 18 years.
Judy’s memorial service will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, on Friday the 24th with visitation at 5:30pm and the service at 7pm.
Judy was born December 9, 1942, in Walters, Oklahoma. She died July 15, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky. She met her husband, Richard “Rick” Landon at Oklahoma Baptist University. After graduation they came to Louisville, Kentucky, for seminary studies where she became the secretary for Dr. Wayne E. Oates. Following their move to Lexington, she became the Executive Assistant for three Presidents of the Central Baptist Hospital. She and her husband traveled for many years to visit Cooperative Baptist Fellowship ‘field personnel’ to be a support and encouragement for them and their various ministries.
