BSK grad plans to research trauma within the military community

Janine Williams has been a student at BSK since Fall of 2018. During her time as a student at BSK, Janine has served as a minister at St. Stephen Church’s Hardin County campus. Janine is graduating with a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy. When asked what she will miss most about BSK, Janine said,

“BSK is not just a seminary, it is a body of believers who supports and cares for their students. They make the journey with students when the road gets rough. They pray sincerely for whatever may come up. I will miss the prayers, support, and food fellowships we shared together.”

In addition to ministry within the church, Janine plans to start researching trauma and trauma caused by sexual abuse for the military community after graduation. Janine hopes to work with soldiers and their families to heal and live a better life from the trauma they endured that would cause them to struggle after they separate from the military.

Congratulations, Janine! You can attend our commencement ceremony in person at Crescent Hill Baptist Church in Louisville, KY on Saturday, May 14 at 2 PM, EST, or via livestream at our Facebook page.
