how did your life turn out like this
a few bad breaks dragged you to the abyss
he sealed his fate with a traitor’s kiss

if there’s a god he don’t care for you
you’re damaged goods he’s got better to do
just take your licks until you’re through
‘it’s too late now’ those words ring true

between 2 bandits by the side of the public road…with one of his last breaths,
jesus promised the man hanging next to him, ‘this day you’ll be with me in paradise.’
