Recently, BSK alumni gathered at the Bluegrass Care Navigators hospice chaplains retreat. BSK alums Rev. Bert Montgomery and Rev. Kelly Hale both serve as chaplains within the Bluegrass Care Navigators organization.
Pastoral Care is one of the main emphases at BSK. We offer a concentration in pastoral care in the Master of Divinity, as well as a Pastoral Care Certificate. Many BSK students graduate and pursue careers specifically within pastoral care as chaplains in hospitals, hospice care, military, etc. We have also had BSK alumni who have MDivs return to BSK to complete the Pastoral Care Certificate to help them as they work in congregational ministry.
