Women from the BSK Community fill pulpits for Baptist Women in Ministry’s Month of Advocacy

During the month of March, Baptist Women in Ministry (BWIM) is sponsoring a Month of Advocacy to encourage churches to affirm and support women in ministry and to highlight the work they are already doing in this area. As a part of BWIM’s Month of Advocacy, several BSK community members have been filling pulpits at different churches.

This past Sunday, Jessica Campbell, a BSK student, was invited to preach at Faith Baptist Church in Georgetown, KY. Additionally, Laura Edgar, a BSK alumna, was invited to preach at University Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Bert Montgomery and Sara Herrington Jones, BSK alumni, are on staff at UBC in Starkville.

BSK students, alumni, faculty, and staff often fill pulpits at BSK partner churches, and it is exciting when these instances overlap in one weekend! If you are interested in a BSK student filling in at your church, contact Abby Sizemore, BSK’s Director of Admissions at abby.sizemore@bsk.edu.
