Remembering BSK’s first registrar

Winnie Bratcher, who was the Registrar at Georgetown College from 1981-2015, volunteered her time to Baptist Seminary of Kentucky when it first began as the Seminary’s first Registrar. BSK and GC have had a long held partnership that continues to today. Winnie Bratcher’s service during those very early days was integral to getting the seminary off the ground.

In 2004, BSK named Winnie “Volunteer of the Year” at the annual BSK Banquet.

Dr. Greg Earwood, BSK’s first President says of Winnie, “Winnie Bratcher, who worked as the Registrar at Georgetown College, requested and was granted permission from President Bill Crouch, to serve Baptist Seminary of Kentucky as Registrar in a volunteer capacity. This was a generous and magnanimous gift to us in our earliest years. Winnie had a caring heart for our Seminary and its students.”
