We need your thoughts.

BSK’s board of trustees is soliciting feedback on a potential new name for the seminary. Because you are a valuable partner with BSK, we covet your thoughts.

Why are we considering a name change? Over the last several years BSK has become a national school, with students in 11 states and partnerships with CBF Virginia, CBF Florida & the Caribbean Islands, and the National Baptist Convention of America (NBCA).

Our current name (Baptist Seminary of Kentucky) regularly leads prospective students, prospective donors, and potential grant sources to associate us with groups related to the SBC, thus misunderstanding our more diverse, justice-oriented, and historically-Baptist posture.

One potential new name is:

Bluegrass Theological Seminary

You can help us by responding to a few questions using the form on this webpage (Please respond by June 15).

You are also welcome to share this survey with 3-5 laypersons in your church.

Please keep this naming concept confidential. Our process continues and this may or may not be the name selected. Your feedback is very helpful to us. Thank you!
