Learning Resources & Libraries
On Campus and Remote Access
The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky is fortunate to have library resources at both of our sites. In Georgetown, BSK students can use Georgetown College’s Anna Ashcroft Ensor Learning Resources Center (LRC) and in Louisville students have access to the Simmons College of Kentucky Library. Through these arrangements, BSK students have access to quality collections of information resources to support curricular needs. Current BSK students have full on and off campus privileges at both libraries, their resources, and staff.
Other Theological Collections
BSK is also fortunate to have partnerships with dedicated theological libraries. Students have in-person access to the Bosworth Memorial Library at the Lexington Theological Seminary, the B. L. Fisher Library at Asbury Seminary and the Ernest Miller White Library at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. All of these institutions have deep research collections to help augment the curriculum support of the LRC. (Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself and ask for help.)
Planning ahead is always your best research strategy. Contact the BSK Librarian with your research needs and questions. Additionally, research assistance is available from the staff of the Georgetown College LRC and the Simmons College Library during all open hours; don’t be shy about asking for the information that you need.
Library Gifts and Donations
Monetary donations for the purchase of library materials to support the curriculum are welcome and gratefully accepted. The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky accepts gifts of library materials in rare cases and the Seminary welcomes and encourages matching funds for processing, housing, and providing access to any donated library materials.
