Graduate Highlight: Marcus Pernell

Graduate Highlight: Marcus Pernell

The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky will celebrate our annual commencement this Saturday, May 12, 2018. Throughout this week leading up to graduation, we have been highlighting our graduates and sharing their plans for after graduation. In addition to sharing these plans, we have also been sharing benedictions our graduates wrote for the BSK Community. These benedictions were written as a final assignment in The Benediction, a class all BSK students take in their last semester. One of our graduates is Marcus Pernell. Read Macus’ benediction for the BSK community and learn about his post-graduation plans below.

A Call to Remember – A Benediction for BSK

Remember that it is the God in Christ Jesus who has called you to these moments.

Remember that it is God who is shaping and molding you from these moments.

Remember that it is the very Spirit of God who is guiding you in these moments.

Remember that it is the never-ending, steadfast love of God building you for these moments.

Hear and remember.

After graduation, Marcus plans on continuing to work full-time at Quest Farm as a Community Living Support (CLS). While serving as a CLS, Marcus is also hoping to volunteer with various organizations in Georgetown, including: Transform Scott County, the Gathering Place Mission, and the Ed Davis Center. This upcoming summer, Marcus hopes to get his Level 1 Certification with CrossFit to become a part-time CrossFit coach at Georgetown College.
