Georgetown College celebrates “BSK Day”

Georgetown College celebrates “BSK Day”

Georgetown College has been a partner of BSK for much of the Seminary’s history. Since 2010, Georgetown College has shared their space with BSK, housing offices and classrooms in the College’s Learning Resources Center. On Tuesday, February 15, Georgetown College celebrated the first annual “BSK Day” to celebrate this partnership.

BSK Day was planned in conjunction with GC’s Religion Department, Office of Faith and Service, and Graves Center for Calling and Career. Abby Sizemore, BSK’s Director of Admissions, was able to visit more than five class sessions within GC’s religion department course schedule in anticipation of this event.

To celebrate this event, Georgetown invited Dr. Lewis Brogdon, BSK’s Associate Professor of Preaching and Black Church Studies and Executive Director of the Institute for Black Church Studies, to preach in their weekly chapel service on February 15. Following the event, a luncheon was held to connect interested GC students to BSK faculty, staff, students, and administration.
