On Wednesday, September 1 at 10 AM, EST, the BSK Community will gather on Zoom for Convocation to begin the Fall 2021 semester. Following this special gathering, each week BSK will hold Community Prayers on Zoom, with a Chapel service once a month. This tradition began last year with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and has enriched our community greatly during a time of great separation.
The Convocation address will be delivered by Rev. Dr. David Emmanuel Goatley. Dr. Goatley is Associate Dean for Academic and Vocational Formation; the Ruth W. and A. Morris Williams Jr. Research Professor of Theology and Christian Ministry; and the Director of the Office of Black Church Studies at Duke Divinity School. He is ordained in the National Baptist Convention, USA, and has served as a pastor in Kentucky.
All are welcome to join for this special service. Zoom information can be found here.
