Chapel is a time for faculty, staff, and students to cultivate the habits and practices of faithful Christian worship. A distinctive feature of BSK’s corporate worship is its contemplative style and attention to the traditional church calendar and lectionary texts. Chapel services are organized by Dr. John Inscore Essick, Assistant Professor of Church History and Chapel Coordinator, and are led by faculty, staff, students, and visiting speakers.
The BSK community meets at Georgetown Baptist Church on designated Monday afternoons at 4:30 pm throughout the academic year to worship together. Each chapel service concludes with a shared meal in the church fellowship hall.
