This Fall, BSK’s Flourish Center is offering an online workshop series designed to strengthen local church leaders who work with youth. The series offers a 6 week, non-credit set of workshops (no grades), including pre-recorded videos, live Zoom discussion sessions, and curated links to additional resources.
Quality youth ministry can make a significant difference for teens and their families. Understanding youth and planning effectively for ministry can be a challenge. Youth Ministry 1 is designed to help prepare leaders for effective ministry.
Leaders who are looking to strengthen or start a youth ministry, including volunteer or paid youth leaders, can benefit from this course.
Prepared by experienced youth ministers Sarah Clarke Turpin, Justin Sizemore and Andrew Noe, the Youth Ministry 1 includes video content as well as weekly live Zoom sessions, the course will explore topics including:
- Introduction to Youth Ministry and discipleship
- Developmental theory and Youth Ministry
- Intro to programming
- Planning and administration
- Intro to counseling and group support
- Working with volunteers and other personnel
Note that all youth leaders in a single church) can participate with one registration.
