Dr. Mark Medley, BSK’s Interim Academic Dean and Professor of Theology, was a part of a cohort that attended the commissioning of the lay preachers that completed 2 years of study and preparation to be licensed as lay preachers. They were licensed by the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, KY. The commissioning service and related conference took place at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on November 9-10.
Medley was a co-trainer for the Diocesan cohort. The Venerable Laurie Brock, Rector, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Lexington, KY, was also a co-trainer for the Diocese.
A new cohort will begin in early 2024.
