As the official seminary of the National Baptist Convention of America, Intl., Inc., members of the BSK community were highly involved in the NBCA’s annual congress that happened in June at St. Stephen Church in Louisville, KY. BSK served as a sponsor for this event, and was able to set up a table for prospective students to visit throughout the week. BSK student and NBCA member, Norman Sizemore, greeted prospective students at the BSK booth.
Many BSK students are pastors and leaders within the NBCA, and as a way to gather members of the BSK community that were in town (many from other states) for the congress, Dr. Anthony Everett organized a luncheon (see featured image). Dr. Everett is the Project Coordinator for BSK’s Siloam Project. In attendance at this luncheon were BSK students, faculty, staff, alumni, and NBCA president, Dr. Samuel Tolbert.
BSK student, Rev. J. Roy Morrison, preached in one of the worship services at the NBCA congress and many students serve in leadership or as delegates to the denomination.
