The National Baptist Convention of America, Intl., Inc. (NBCA) recently held their annual session at St. Stephen Baptist Church and Simmons College of Kentucky in Louisville, KY. BSK was a premier partner at this event, and many BSK faculty and staff were in attendance, including Dr. David Cassady, Dr. Laura Levens, Dr. Lewis Brogdon, Rev. Erica Whitaker, and Dr. Dalen Jackson. Dr. Cassady addressed the convention during their Wednesday night service.
While in attendance, BSK faculty and staff were delighted to be able to connect with multiple BSK students who were in attendance at the session. Rev. S.C. Dixon, General Secretary of the NBCA and MDiv student at BSK, was among the students in attendance. Dr. Cassady paused for a photo with Rev. Dixon at the dedication of Ida B. Wells Hall at Simmons College of Kentucky, located at the historic Central High School building in Louisville.
