BSK hosts 2022 Hinson Lectures virtually

Since 2009, Baptist Seminary of Kentucky has hosted an annual lecture series in honor of Dr. Glenn E. Hinson. The E. Glenn Hinson Lecture Series honors the life and work of Dr. E. Glenn Hinson by inviting lecturers who share his passion for Christian scholarship in and for the life of the church and the world.

On March 7, 2022, BSK will host the Hinson Lectures virtually. This format will allow persons across the country to attend the lectures when it has previously been a regional event. “We are encouraged with this format and the possibilities for individuals from across the country to participate in this unique and formational program,” says BSK President, David Cassady.

This year’s Hinson Lectures speaker is Dr. Ellen Davis, Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology at Duke Divinity School. Dr. Davis’ lectures are entitled, “’By the Renewing of Your Mind’: Salvific Imagination” and “Speaking Truth: Ungodly Facts, Real Power, and Holy Fear.”

The Hinson Lectures are free and will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM, EST. To register, click here.
