Dr. John Inscore Essick, BSK’s Associate Professor of Church History, has written a review of Pete Daniel’s, “Dispossesion: Discrimination Against African American Farmers in the Age of Civil Rights” for his local Henry County, KY newspaper. This book focuses on black land loss among farmers in the era of Civil Rights and the review will be available to read for free for a limited time. Dr. Inscore Essick will also be referencing this book as a part of BSK’s “America in Crisis” Flourish workshop being held on Tuesday evenings.
