Thursday night, April 23, was the first session of the Pastoral Care and COVID-19 workshop through BSK’s Flourish Center. There were 40 attendees and it was a wonderfully diverse group — including ministers, chaplains, first responders, missionaries working with refugees, and non-profit leaders. Among the group were Baptists, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, and others. 14 states were represented across participants. The first session focused on offering care to those dealing with anxiety in its many forms. The remaining sessions of this workshop include topics such as dealing with family stress, depression, and loneliness.
